Wedding Flowers FAQs
How much do wedding flowers cost? Is there a minimum cost to ordering with you?
There is no minimum when you order your Wedding Flowers from us.
We understand many couples have tight budgets and we’re used to working on orders that range from modest to extravagant.
Please keep in mind that the average couple spends between $10K – $25K on wedding flowers (depending on the style of the wedding, of course).
I know nothing about flowers. Can I leave the creative stuff up to you?
Of course!
We know wedding flowers are a big purchase and we are happy to help and we love using our creativity!
The best weddings we do are the ones where the couple gives us their colour palette and preferred style/theme.
Feel free to contact us for a chat.
How far in advance do I need to order my flowers?
Our order cut-off for our Wedding Flowers is six weeks prior to your wedding, so it’s a good idea to organise your flowers as early as possible. That way, our suppliers have adequate notice.
Can I pay a deposit now and the balance on the day?
Most brides have their hands full on their actual wedding day, so we do ask that you make full payment for your flowers 4 weeks before the big day.
Do you deliver my flowers on the day?
Yes, we do.
The Flowers By Varu team will take care of the whole process.
If you’ve ordered bouquets and buttonholes for the bridal party, we’ll do a bridal party delivery to wherever you’re getting ready.
We’ll also do a separate delivery to the venue.
Do you also style the venue and provide items like vases etc?
If you’ve ordered table centrepieces and other flowers for your venue, we handle all the set-up on the day so the venue is ready and looking beautiful by the time you arrive.
If you’re after a unique custom order, we can supply the vases, tall table towers and other accessories to complete the desired look.
What comes first – the dress or the flowers?
If you’re going to style the venue in a specific theme, you should work that out first before choosing your flowers.
Generally, though, flowers will match most types of dresses and venues, so you don’t necessarily need to have the dress before you choose your flowers.
My wedding is outside of Victoria. Is that a problem?
We’re only able to cater to Melbourne-based weddings at this stage.
We do travel to regional Victoria, but be aware we do add a travel fee on top of our normal delivery and set up fee.
